Background
In an effort to address citzen concerns about streetscape issues and the lack of sidewalk facilities on the west side of Main Street in Waitsfield Village, the Central Vermont Regional Planning Commisson (CVRPC) allocated $15,000 in technical assistance funds in 2010 to assist the Town of Waitsfield in developing a conceptual alignment analysis for a potential sidewalk and corresponding streetscape improvements.

Waitsfield Village West Sidewalk Phase 2

The Town of Waitsfield received an award from the Vermont Bicycle and Pedestrian Program for an additional $148,000 to complete the Waitsfield Village West Sidewalk Phase 2 project. The Selectboard will be discussing the overall project budget and elements at their meeting Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 6:30pm. (Please note the change in date and venue.) This will be an opportunity for property owners, stakeholders, and the public to weigh in on decisions affecting the project's final design.
