In 2018, the Town of Waitsfield Selectboard adopted a policy related to requests for and the award of municipal funding for social service, community, and non-profit agencies and organizations.
The policy established the following:
– An application form to provide consistency in requests and aid in the evaluation of those requests.
– Guidelines for setting funding levels and how funding may be allocated when requests exceed the amount available for award.
– The same process for new and returning agencies and organizations to ensure equal access to the funding process.
